Lady Amelia Windsor Turns Heads on the Barbie Red Carpet with Running Shoes

Lady Amelia Windsor wore running shoes to a screening of Barbie in London on Thursday night. She defied royal conventions and dressed down for the event. The 27-year old model, granddaughter of the Duke Kent, paired the running shoes with a hot pink dress that was thematically relevant and some casual necklaces. Amelia wore sneakers to the launch party of Yome Adegoki’s new novel, The List. She attended it at The Library in London. She wore a casual dress in green and white with Nikes, and posed for a photo with the author. She praised the book on her Instagram Story, saying “I couldn’t put it down and you won’t either.”

Amelia’s Barbiecore look on Thursday is not the first she has worn in the past few months. She wore a pink dress with orange accents by Kitty Joseph, and pink espadrille slide to the London screening of Special Ops Lioness on July 11. She attended the V&A’s annual summer party in June wearing a pink dress by New York-based Hellessy. She paired it with paisley shoes from Michael Kors. Tatler dubbed Amelia “the most beautiful royal member” in 2016. She has been a more visible participant of the social scene. She spent a day with her father, George Windsor the Earl of St. Andrews and retired tennis player Martina Navratilova in the royal box at Wimbledon. She wore a pair of stylish sunglasses, a dress decorated with butterflies and her favorite necklaces.
